Miss Vermont Teen All American 2025

Mina December Smith, 15, Miss Vermont Teen All American, is entering her sophomore year of high school in South Burlington, Vermont. An active and well-rounded student, she is involved in cheerleading, dance, and theater, and she enjoys following hockey, soccer, and football. Passionate about the arts, Mina volunteers at Spruce Peak Arts in Stowe and the Flynn Theater in Burlington.

She is also the founder and driving force behind Love Your Neighbor VT Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting youth affected by family or friends struggling with alcohol use. Inspired by her own experiences and the loss of her uncle, Mina works to provide a safe, supportive environment for young people. Through her nonprofit, she distributes Coping Totes to high schools across Vermont, each containing a journal, pencil, stress ball, resource card, wristband reading “Support Sobriety,” and a purple pin symbolizing recovery and healing.

Family is central to Mina’s life. She enjoys spending time with her siblings, admires her father’s service in the U.S. Army, appreciates her mother’s floral artistry, and values the dedication of her stepfather, who runs his own remodeling business.

Looking ahead, Mina hopes to attend the University of Hawaii, where she once lived, to pursue studies in Native Hawaiian culture and archaeology. With five hours of flight time already logged, she also dreams of earning her private pilot’s license, allowing her to reach archaeological sites from the sky.

Mina is proud to serve as the 2026 UVM Children’s Miracle Network Champion, raising awareness for the children’s hospital and its community. Diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2023, she deeply understands the importance of quality medical care, mental health, and strong support systems.

Mina is honored to hold this title in which she treasures for its emphasis on sisterhood, empowerment, and “girls supporting girls.” She is honored to use her platform to inspire others and make a meaningful difference in her community.
